Roadworks at the canal bridge on Boquhanran Road, with space left for cycling and walking. I wonder if the road network would miss this road being shut to motor vehicles permanently.

The north end of the Erskine Bridge.

Through motor traffic has been removed from Hume Street by a road closure by bollards next to the low bridge. However the Chalmers Street side of Hume Street has been turned into a taxi storage area with conflicting signage and road mark ... [more]

The signs used on Hume Street are 'No Motor Vehicles' signs yet the plates below the signs and the prohibited turn signs say 'No vehicles except for taxis'. Is cycling allowed, and if not why not?

Hume Street in Clydebank has been closed where it passes under a low bridge. No indication that cycling through the line of bollards is not allowed.

The entrance to The Saltings nature reserve in Old Kilpatrick.

A barrier on a footbridge at The Saltings nature reserve. But easily avoided by taking a different route.

A barrier across the path between Donald's Quay and The Saltings. It's always worth checking whether the gate is locked or not. At this point, the path is running along the formation of a former railway line.

Signs for destinations on the Forth & Clyde Canal towpath. A steep path next to the ruin leads down to Donald's Quay and to a path from there to The Saltings nature reserve.

The road bridge across the A878 connecting the park next to the Erskine Bridge to Mount Pleasant Drive. The path around the northern part of this area is presently closed while works are being undertaken.

The path from Kilpatrick station passing under the Erskine Bridge and onwards to the Lusset Glen.

Take care at the high speed junction at Mountblow Road.

Access to the Forth & Clyde Canal towpath over the lifting bridge at Farm Road.

The cycle counter in Clydebank hasn't been working the last few times I've passed.

Bowling Basin at the end of the Forth & Clyde Canal. A few bikes tied up near boats, and some empty stands around the place.

Overtoun House, at the top of a fairly steeply graded asphalt path from Dumbarton.
